This blog will be a way to track my progress and keep me honest as I work my way to running the National Capital Marathon - and beyond!
Funny, I'm choosing to start on my "day off" - I ran for the last 5 days and am a little wiped out - I wanted to maximize the little time I had left with my at work running partner - who as of monday will be changing work locations (sniff ) and I pushed myself a bit too much. So today, I rest - though it is killing me since it is so beautiful outside.
So this is the first post - I hope the next ones are a bit more insightful. You know, the sort of thing you read a few years later that you are actually proud of - (remember the papers you wrote in university - I pick them up now and cannot believe I wrote them. . I wistfully think back to a time where I could put together two sentences without having to edit them 20 times...as I just did with the last sentence :-) ...let's just say that I'm hoping to improve my writing and my running.
One of the things I have planned for today is changing up my running playlist on my Ipod - I'll try to keep a tally of artists I'm adding which will definitely include Daft Punk - trance like music that just takes me away and keeps me going at a constant pace when I run alone.
